Manchester United are believed to have been planning on a huge £60 million bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba next summer.
Although a firm bid has not been announced yet, Chelsea are also targeting on the French international.
The World Cup star is currently still in negotiations with Juve over a new contract, but his future at the Italian club has so far been far from clear, and if his current club can’t get him to sign a new deal, his former club could take the opportunity to take him back to Old Trafford.
Despite already spending an excess of £150 million this summer, he is believed to still have plenty of cash at his disposal for future transfers.
And with the Red Devils still in search of another midfielder, they’ll be keen to push the deal out to seal a return transfer for Pogba.
