Alberto Moreno is excited about playing in the Champions’ League with Liverpool this season, and targets a win in the competition.
This season is the first time they made it back to Europe’s elite club competition since the 2009/10 season, after finishing second in the Premier League last term.
The newly-signed Spaniard is excited about playing in the CL for the first time in his career.
“Playing in the Champions League is going to be amazing”, he said.
“It’s all new for me and I’m really looking forward to it.”
The Reds are the most successful British side in the Champions’ League and Moreno wants to add to the club’s five European Cups won so far.
“Plus, we have Real Madrid at Anfield and I’ll be wearing Liverpool’s colours… It’s going to be a unique experience,” he added.
“I saw the trophy at Melwood and I got goose bumps. Hopefully we can win it this year. Hopefully that day will come.”
European champions Real Madrid, FC Basel and Ludogorets Razgrad will provide opposition in Liverpool’s Group B of the group stage in the competition.
