Radamel Falcao has told Manchester United fans that he’s focused on netting his first goal for his new club when the Red Devils face Leicester City this weekend.
The Colombian star made his first appearance for the Old Trafford side in their 4-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers as a second-half substitute.
Falcao is hailed as one of the best signings of United this summer, as he moved from French Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco on a loan basis.
There are rumours that the deal may change into a permanent one, which is based on his appearances and goals.
And Falcao says he is keen to repay the faith of the supporters showed in him by finding the back of the net for the first time for United against Leicester.
“I want to say thank you to the fans. I enjoyed the welcome a lot. It was fantastic,” he said.
“I almost scored. The goalkeeper was good. I hope to score the next game.”
“It felt good to make my debut at Old Trafford. It is an extraordinary stadium, a legendary stadium and I am happy to get the win. I will enjoy this moment.”
He also looks to get more action as he was injured for much of last season at Monaco with a serious knee injury.
