Southampton striker Graziano Pelle feels that manager Louis van Gaal’s work at Manchester United cannot be judged after just two months.
With over £150 million spent on new players over the summer in a busy transfer window, the Red Devils still languish at 12th place in the English Premier League table and have just one win from six matches to show this season.
28-year-old Pelle, who worked with Van Gaal at AZ Alkmaar in the 2008/09 season when they won the Dutch Eredivisie title, insists that it is far too soon to accurately access the effectiveness of the Dutch boss’ methods at Old Trafford, and to judge him fairly.
“I say that even to managers you have to give time,” Pelle told Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“You cannot judge a manager after two months of work, even if they are established professionals such as Van Gaal.”
