Tottenham Hostpur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that he would like to build an empire at Spurs just like Arsene Wenger at London rivals Arsenal.
Pochettino is the 18th manager at White Hart Lane in the 18 years Wenger has been at the Emirates Stadium, formerly Highbury.
“I have full respect for him – he is a great manager. An 18-year stay in charge is not easy. It’s a big gap with me at Tottenham,” said Pochettino.
“Tottenham is a big job and it is a dream to stay here like him or to have time Arsene had in Arsenal.”
“For this, I need to show my skill, I need to work hard, I need to get the results.”
Spurs have beaten the Gunners just once at their home ground since May 1993, in a 3-2 win in November 2010.
Pochettino added: “I know it is a very important derby. It is very important for us and our supporters.
“You need to be aggressive, you need to be focused and you need to show all that you have inside.”
“I know the history. But it is also important to write the history, starting now.”
