I Don’t Compare Myself To Jose Mourinho – Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti says he has never compared his achievements at Real Madrid to those of his predecessor at Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho departed from the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2013 for Chelsea after winning the Spanish La Liga, the Spanish Copa del Rey and the Spanish Supecopa de Espana in his three years as manager of Real Madrid, with former Paris Saint-Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti replacing the Portuguese.

However, Mourinho departed the Spanish giants amidst great controversy, and since then the pair have been often compared for their respective accomplishments in the Spanish capital, but the Italian boss has distanced himself away any comparison.

“I’ve never felt like doing better than he did at the club, I’ve other things to think about. I’ve always just tried to do my best every day,” he told Marca.
