Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been pleased with the progress Jack Wilshere has made this season, with the midfielder appearing to have come into form in recent weeks for both the Gunners and England.

The 22-year-old’s development over the past two or so seasons has not been as much as the Englishman would have wanted, but this campaign he appears to have regained his confidence, as well as getting regular games this season, scoring one goal in six English Premier League appearances this term, and Wenger explained just why the youngster is now getting back to his best.

“He’s developing well because he’s been a consistent presence in the team,” Arsenal’s official website quotes the Frenchman as saying.

“The top level today demands that you play every week. He improves and progresses as he plays every week and that improves his quality.”

“He’s back to where he was physically and he has more experience today. His final ball is better and he has kept his penetrative capacity with the ball.”

“He has a good mix between threading the ball behind the defence and making the difference individually. That is Jack back to his best level.”
