Liverpool now have a clear path of signing this summers’ FIFA World Cup winner with Germany, Marco Reus, from Borussia Dortmund as the German Bundesliga side ended their attempt to to tie the winger down to a new contract, according to reports.

The Germany international attacker had rejected the offer of a new deal at Dortmund two months ago, but Reus’ current club have been holding talks to try and get their star man to change his mind, but they’ve seemingly proved unsuccessful, and reports suggest Reus now looks certain to be leaving the Signal Idunda Park.

The news on Reus, who wants a contract worth £180,000-a-week, will alert the Reds, who are believed to be leading the chase or the talented forward, having reportedly made him their number one transfer target, and it has been claimed a bid of £32million would be enough to get Reus.
