David Moyes will return to football management in the Spanish La Liga after accepting a job with Real Sociedad.
The Scot has been out of work since April after leaving Manchester United back in England, and has now opted to join the San Sebastian club on an 18-month deal.
A club statement confirmed the deal, which read: “Real Sociedad have reached an agreement with David Moyes to be the first team coach until 30 June 2016.”
“Details about the official presentation of Real Sociedad’s new coach and who will form part of his technical team will be published tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.”
Moyes will now look to bring Soceidad, who finished in the top four of the La Liga last season and qualified for the UEFA Champions’ League, better than their current struggling form after selling key players, including France international Antoine Griezmann.
