England manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that members of his senior squad will be available to under-21 boss Gareth Southgate for UEFA EURO 2015.
The likes of the Three Lions’ Jack Wilshere, Luke Shaw, Phil Jones, Raheem Sterlin and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are eligible for the finals in the Czech Republic in June.
At the same time, the senior side have a UEFA EURO 2016 qualifier in Slovenia.
But Hodgson said: “After Gareth picks his squad, I will pick mine. He can pick any under-21 who’s available.”
He added: “We can deal with four or five absentees and tournaments are important. But if they’re available for me, that’s fine, too.”
