Manchester United assistant coach Ryan Giggs’s former coach Rene Meulensteen has tipped the Welshman to manage United one day.
Giggs is currently assistant to boss Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford and had a brief stint in caretaker charge towards the end of last season.
And Meulensteen, who coached Giggs for many years when the former Wales international was a player, has backed the club legend to one day take the big job on a full-time basis.
“I am delighted that Ryan is still there, I think it was also a great experience for him to have the team for the last four-five games of last season, to get a taste of it,” he said.
“I hope in the future Ryan is given the chance to manage Manchester United.”
“Is he good enough to manage United? Yes, without a shadow of a doubt.”
“He has something that any other Manchester United [manager] never had.”
