Sampdoria are weighing up a January bid for Udinese forward Luis Muriel, reports reveal.
The Blucerchiati could stay without one of Manolo Gabbiadini or Stefano Okaka, and are in turn in the market for attacking reinforcements.
According to reports, Sampdoria officials hope to lure Muriel from Udinese.
Despite being regarded as one of league’s hottest prospects, the 23-year-old does not appear to be developing in the right way and he has been largely disappointing this season.
He has made a total of 11 Italian Serie A appearances this term, but has yet to score his first goal and he is no longer considered a first team regular at Friuli.
Nevertheless, Udinese officials still believe he can become a valuable asset to the squad and have no intention of selling him on the cheap, and Sampdoria therefore will need to make a serious effort if they want to get their man in January.
