Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino declared himself “very happy” after watching his side hold Manchester United to a goalless draw at White Hart Lane in Matchday 19 of the English Premier League.
Spurs stretched their run to five league games without defeat in the day’s first kick-off in the English top tier, and Pochettino was more than satisfied with the outcome.
“We are in a good way,” he said.
“We need time to improve in every game and we need to set out our philosophy.”
“We need to improve our game step by step, but I’m happy with the feeling after today. We showed we are solid and I’m pleased for the players.”
“We are very happy.”
Tottenham are now in sixth place, with just one point away from a UEFA Champions’ League place, although the other 18 teams of the 20-side tier are yet to play.
