West Brom want £20 million for Berahino – set to stay

Berahino (left), who above celebrates a goal against Hull earlier in January, now looks likely to remain at the Hawthorns after West Brom refused to lower their valuation of the player

West Bromwich Albion have refused to lower their asking price of £20 million for Saido Berahino, meaning the striker is almost certain to stay at the Hawthorns.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly willing to fork out between £10 to £12 million for the England international this month.

But the Baggies have insisted Berahino will not leave for a price under £20 million, and as it stands, the Reds and Spurs are unwilling to budge on their own respective valuations, meaning the 21-year-old is highly likely to stay.

  1. It would be great for West Brom if Berahino stayed, he will be vital in the relegation battle. I’m a bit surprised West Brom are only asking for £20m, if he continues his form then I could see clubs willing to fork out £25m or maybe even £30m for him.
