TalkSport report that Tottenham Hotspur have slapped a £22.5 million asking price for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
The France international has been a consistent performer for Spurs since moving from Lyon for £12.3 million in 2012, and has become a target for Italian Serie A giants Roma.
Roma are believed to have pulled out of pursuit of the goalkeeper following the North London sides valuation and are believed to be looking at Chelsea shot-stopper Petr Cech as an alternative.
The 32 year-old was on the bench for the majority of the first half of the campaign, but appears to have jumped ahead of Thibaut Courtois since the Blues’ 5-3 defeat by Tottenham on New Years Day.
With Roma’s current first choice between the sticks Morgan De Sanctis turns 38 in March, the club have begun to hunt for a new goalkeeper.
