Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has hailed Blues teammate Eden Hazard as “Chelsea’s Messi” in an interview with Spanish newspaper El Pais.
Fabregas returned to play in the English Premier League for th Blues since he captained Arsenal from Barcelona in June, and has since been in outstanding form for Jose Mourinho’s side, recording a remarkable 20 assists in 30 total appearances.
However, the Spain international stresses that winger Hazard has been the league leaders’ most impactful contributor this season, having likened the Belgium international to former Barca teammate and forward Lionel Messi.
“Hazard… awesome,” he said.
“Physically they are even similar, with a very strong lower body.
“He is honest, he doesn’t go to ground, he always wants to play and he doesn’t hesitate.
“He has the quality to go far, but should be more ambitious in front of goal.”
