Addo unconvinced despite win

Hearts of Oak manager Herbert Addo does not believe his side is a cup-winning team yet despite beating defending champions Asante Kotoko in the Ghanaian Premier League on Sunday.

Hearts took the lead through striker Selasi Adjei in the 8th minute, and held on to win 1-0 and break their 7-game run in which they had failed to win against their arch-rivals.

“I think the boys are getting used to each other. If you can see my boys, they are new and old and they are blending in gradually,” Addo said.

“We have a lot of players; they are jelling and beginning to understand the tactics of the game. I want to take things and win match after match.”

“This team, I personally do not think they are a cup winning team yet but hopefully, they will be by the end of the year.”
