Liverpool are reportedly to be keeping tabs on Roma midfielders Miralem Pjanic and Radja Nainggolan as well as Lazio forward Keita Balde Diao, who could come to a combined cost of over £75 million, as Reds manager Brendan Rodgers planning a an Italian Serie A raid in the summer.
24-year-old Pjanic, who is said to be at the level of super midfielders Andrea Pirlo and Xavi by some in terms of passing, is valued at £25 million. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has 56 caps to dat for his country, and could be an ideal replacement for 34-year-old skipper Steven Gerrard, who is departing Anfield for LA Galaxy next summer.
Belgium international Nainggolan, who so far has eight caps for his nation, is being regarded as one of the best midfielders in Europe, being good in attacking and defending. The 26-year-old also has a buy-out of clause of £25.9 million.
19-year-old youngster Diao, a former Barcelona man, is lately performing well in the Italian top flight for Lazio, with Liverpool scouts having recommended the Spaniard to Rodgers, and reportedly would command a similar price to both Pjanic and Nainggolan.
