Ronaldo donates to help aid effort in Nepal

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly donated 7 million euros to help the aid effort in Nepal, and handed the sum of money to charitable organisation Save the Children, which is helping survivors of the earthquake that struck the Asian country last month.

Last month Ronaldo also called upon his vast Facebook followers of over 100 million people to donate to the children’s charity.

This is not the first charitable act by the Portugal international forward, as the 30-year-old is said to have paid for a 10-month-old boy to have brain surgery last year.

And in 2004 he flew to the aid of Indonesian tsunami victims after he saw footage of a young man wearing a Portugal shirt with his name at the back.
