Crystal Palace are linked with an ambitious bid to bring back Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye back to the English Premier League.
Eagles boss Alan Pardew knows the 29-year-old France international well following the duo’s time at Newcastle United, before PSG came knocking.
Cabaye has struggled to win a regular starting place the Parc des Princes, leading to reports suggesting he wants a return to the English top tier, with Newcastle said to be also keen to take him back.
Arsenal are also long-term admirers of Cabaye and have been heavily linked with a move, but now the Selhurst Park side have become surprise contenders for the player’s signature.
However, the player will not come cheap with reports claiming that PSG have put a £10 million price tag on Cabaye, and any move from Palace, who may be able to stretch the budget that far, could cast doubt over Mile Jedinak, who has been linked with a move away from Palace, and James McArthur, who is a target of Norwich City.
