Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter has withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squd for Saturday’s UEFA EURO 2016 qualifier against Scotland.
The 25-year-old came on as a substitute in last weekend’s goalless friendly with England but has picked up groin and thigh injuries and will play no part at the Aviva Stadium this weekend.
“Harry is out of the squad,” Republic of Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane said.
“He’s gone back to England because he’s had a hip problem. He’s not coming back.”
