Inter have signed Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia after the France international signed a long-term contract at the San Siro, with Arsenal missing out on signing the 22-year-old, who will now have to switch their attentions elsewhere to add some steal to their midfield.
Inter have also beaten off competition from rivals Milan, having paid about £29 million for the player. The club have confirmed a new five-year deal has been agreed, although not having disclosed the fee, and Kondogbia now just needs to pass a medical before the move can be confirmed.
The club’s official website stated: “Contracts signed with Monaco for Geoffrey Kondogbia.
“The Frenchman will undergo a medical in Italy tomorrow.”
