Cresswell extends West Ham stay

West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell has signed a new five-year contract at Upton Park, after the 25-year-old was signed from Ipswich Town last summer and went on to play every game of the Hammers’ last campaign, the left-back’s first in the English Premier League.

Cresswell won the Hammer of the Year and Player’s Player of the Year awards last term after an impressive term in 2014/15, and now the club have tied the Tranmere Rovers academy product down to a long-term stay, as he will remain at West Ham until the end of the 2020 season, with the option of a further two years.
