Abdi pens new Watford contract

Watford midfielder Almen Abdi has commited his future to the Hornets by signing a new three-year contract.

The 28-year-old is a popular figure at Vicarage Road, having featured 92 times for Watford since his arrival from Udinese in 2012, scoring 23 goals.

At the end of the 2012/13 season, the Switzerland international’s first season with Watford, Prizren born Abdi was awarded the club’s Player of the Season trophy, and the Zurich academy product has since further established himself as a key part of the the Golden Boys’ midfield.
