Chelsea forward Patrick Bamford has completed a season-long loan move to Crystal Palace after signing a new three-year contract with the Blues.
The 21-year-old won the English Championship of the Year award during his loan spell at Middlesbrough last season, where he netted 17 times in 39 apperances.
After signing the England U21 international, the Eagles posted on their official Twitter page: “BREAKING: #CPFC are delighted to announce the signing of @Patrick-Bamford on a season-long loan from @ChelseaFC.”
Bamford is highly regarded at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea having announced he has signed a new contract with the English Premier League champions before he heads to Selhurst Park on loan.
“I’m delighted to sign a new contract with Chelsea,” he told the club’s official website.
“My dream has always been to be part of this club for the long term.
“Chelsea have been fantastic with my development and joining Crystal Palace for this season on loan is the next step for me in my career.”
